Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Tanya Higgins was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and grew up in Kingston, Jamaica. She attended the University of Georgia, where she received her B. Sc. (Ag) in Animal Health/Poultry Science. She obtained her DVM from the Atlantic Veterinary College, at the University of Prince Edward Island, Canada.Upon graduation, she immediately plunged into the exciting world of small animal emergency medicine for three years. Then Dr. Higgins headed into general, family veterinary practice but with a twist. This twist was crossing over, as one of her mentors constantly teases her, to the other-side, alternative medicine, specializing in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine.
