Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Tapper grew up in a small town in Iowa with the dream of following in his uncle's footsteps (ISU 1969) of being a veterinarian. While attending ISU, Dr. tapper was a letterman with the track team competing in the 110 high hurdles and the 400 intermediates. Upon graduation, Dr. Tapper accepted his first veterinary job at Hollywood Animal Hospital where he received excellent training and experience over the next 4 years. In August of 1988, Dr. Tapper left HAH to open Emerald Hills Animal Hospital.Dr. Tapper married his wife Valli, a Hollywood native, in 1987. They have 3 children and a dog. The oldest child, Jesse, is a graduate of U. of Miami Law School. He is currently a Lieutenant with the Navy JAG Corp. The oldest girl, Jenevieve, is currently in her junior year at FSU majoring in communication disorders. Jillian, the baby, is currently a sophomore at FSU, a communications major, and the feature baton twirler with the FSU band. The dog, Kaiser, is a black doberman pinscher. In his spare time, Dr Tapper likes to travel, ride his bike, go hiking, snow skiing, boating, scuba diving, maintaining his yard (along with palm trees and orchids), sports, spinning, and spending time with his wife and kids.
