Veterinarian Overview
Dr Trysh Hamilton took the scenic route through college. She started undergraduate studies at the University of Florida in the early eighties, but dropped out after 3 years and moved to Islamorada in the fabulous Florida Keys where she worked as an outboard mechanic. This is also where she met her future husband, Andy. Eventually, she was offered a position at the local veterinary clinic and that is when her passion for veterinary medicine reemerged in full force. She returned to school at UF and graduated with her DVM in 1999. She worked for over 16 years in Alachua and has now joined our team in beautiful Micanopy. Her interests include general patient care, soft tissue surgery, reproduction, and providing the best possible care for ALL people and pets. When she is not at work, Trysh enjoys hiking, boating, snorkeling, and traveling with Andy. In addition to Andy, she currently shares her life with 1 dog, 3 cats, tropical fish, and the neighbor_s chickens and rabbits.
