Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Terah Browning grew up in a small town in Illinois. At a young age, she had a strong interest in veterinary medicine and working with children. Dr. Browning moved to Sarasota 20 years ago when she married her husband, Tim. Prior to embarking to veterinary school, Dr. Browning became a certified nanny and worked as both a nanny and veterinary assistant throughout her undergraduate studies. In 2000, Dr. Browning received her Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of South Florida. In 2004, Dr. Browning graduated with her veterinary degree from Ross University after completing her senior year surgery and medicine rotations at the University of Florida. Her first jobs as a veterinarian were at the Animal ER of University Park and Braden River Equine. In 2008, Dr. Browning partnered with Dr. Beth Brown and opened West Coast Veterinary Center to complement Braden River Equine by providing medical, surgical, and holistic care for small animals. Dr. Browning's primary interests in veterinary medicine include internal, cardiac, and emergency medicine. She is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Florida Veterinary Medical Association, and locally with both the Sarasota and Manatee County veterinary societies. Complementing her love of veterinary medicine, Dr. Browning has two dogs, two cats, and a horses. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her Husband Tim, son Lucas , family and friends, hiking, and traveling.
