Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Michael Reinhart was born in Washington D.C. in 1953. He lived there with his family until going off to college at the University of Miami in 1975. There he worked as an Associate Researcher in Pulmonary Medical Research at Mount Sinai Medical Center from 1976-1978 under Dr. Marvin Sackner MD. His professional school was completed at the University Of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine where he earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1982. From there, he became an Associate at the Bayshore Animal Hospital in Bradenton, Fl. for four years before opening Jacaranda Animal Hospital in 1986. Dr. Reinhart is the recipient of the Hartz 2006 Veterinarian of the Year Award and writes a column for Sarasota Pet Magazine. Dr. Reinhart and his son, Graham, currently live in Sarasota.
