Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Adam Schanding earned his Bachelor of Science in Zoology at Miami University prior to graduating with his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University in 2008. He has been proudly caring for animals of the western Chicago suburbs since moving to the state of Illinois in 2009. He enjoys all aspects of general practice but has found a special interest in surgery, dentistry, and emergency care. Over the years he has completed extensive continuing education including certification for ultrasound and orthopedic fracture management. Dr.Schanding and his wife Amanda reside in Lombard, IL with their Labrador mix Unsiand their two cats Maurice and Rupert. Recently gone, but never to be forgotten, is their sweet Boxer Luke (pictured above). Dr. Schanding enjoys running, spending quality time with friends and family, brewing and tasting craft beer, and cheering for his beloved Cincinnati Bengals.
