Without consulting me, Dr. Wiehrdt treated my geriatric dog's ear infection with BNT ointment, which can cause deafness in old dogs, and guess what? It made my old girl deaf. This happened after I called her office several times voicing my concerns about her not being able to hear - each time I was told that it was normal. If by normal they meant your dog will go deaf, then I guess it was. Another time she prescribed an antibiotic for my dogs nasal infection without consulting the culture results that were available. The antibiotic did no good and was hastily discontinued by the followup vet I saw. In my experience Dr. Wiehrdt blunders through her job and shoots from the hip. No science required. Avoid.
