Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Schaefer is a long-time respected veterinarian with over 40 years of practice within the Aurora area. He has been recognized for establishing Rush-Copley's pet therapy program - the first in the greater Chicagoland area. Dr. Schaefer has also been involved with the Delta Society, a national organization dedicated to improving human health through therapy and service animals. Dr. Schaefer has performed thousands of surgeries throughout his career and oversees our dental program. Dr. Schaefer is a graduate of Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine
