My Great Pyrenees needed her cruciate ligaments in both hind legs. I came for 2 consultations- one for myself then due to the expense came back with my husband so he could understand the treatment. It required 2 surgeries as is only one leg done at a time with 6 weeks of recoup before starting the nect. It couldn’t have been better! Dr. Vecchil was extremely kind and thorough. He realized the expenses are such that some may not be able to afford. He handled that with much compAssion and no judgement! We did have to dip into savings but she has had an excellent outcome. It was tedious for the dog and us. She had to be confined for almost 4 months in a small pen and walked only to use the bathroom. The first two weeks after each surgery the most intense then progressive improvement. She had NO COMPLICATIONS or problems. It required patient persistence and she was an excellent patient. 6 mos later she is getting stronger all the time and doing very well! We are SO GRATEFUL for Dr. Vecchio’s excellent surgery skill and compassion. The care at the hospital EXCELLENT. While hospitalized they updated me daily, returned all calls, and were kind and patient!!!! I can’t say enough nice things about the VCA HOSPITAL IN FISHERS!! Our dog is doing so well and bonded even closer as if she knows that we have all helped her!!
