Veterinarian Overview
I graduated from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1984. I wanted to stay in Southern Indiana, having grown up in a rural setting near Bloomfield, Indiana. My first job out of school was in a mixed practice in St. Joe, Indiana on the northwest side of Evansville. We served all types of animals, including small, beef, dairy, swine, and equine. After six years at St. Joe Veterinary Clinic, I took my current position at Warrick Veterinary Clinic in February 1991.At Warrick Vet Clinic, I still do mixed practice, but most of the time I work with small animals, beef, and dairy. I enjoy doing small animal surgery and attend several continuing education meetings every year to stay on top of a rapidly changing profession. We adopt new technology as it is proven safe andeffective in order to benefit our patients and clients as much as possible.I am married to Susan Helms. She is the deputy clerk for the town of Newburgh. We have two daughters, Laura and Amanda. Laura has graduated from Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro, Kentucky. Where she is played softball for the college team. Amanda attends Purdue University.
