Veterinarian Overview
I grew up in Newburgh, Indiana as a young boy, during the summers I would work on my grandfather's farm, helping out with livestock and crops. I also spent countless voluntary hours at a local veterinary clinic cleaning and walking pets during the school year. I graduated from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine with Dr. John Baker in 1981. I was able to start an AAHA small animal clinic in Lafayette, Indiana with another DVM called Paw Prints Animal Hospital. We also acquired another small animal clinic south of town. I have 3 children who now live in Texas, Las Vegas, and South beach Miami respectively, unlike the Baker Family none are veterinarians.While living at Purdue, I was able to complete a MS of hospital administration @ Krannert /AAHA. And also hold An Indiana real estate Brokers license. I was able to help Purdues veterinary school with the community practice blocks for senior DVM and RVT students over the last 10 years. Teaching students was a very rewarding time of my life.After spending 30 + years up north, my wife and I decided to move "home". Having a last name like "GRIESE" we have a large family base, living in Evansville/ Newburgh. I was also able to realize one of my childhood dreams, to living along the Ohio River. We were able to purchase an older home along the river side on the famed River Walk Trail named The River House.Gai and I have 3 grandbabies between us and six grown adult children. We have a small poodle named "Jack" and an older cat named "spook. I feel very blessed to be back "home" with family and friends. I am very excited about working for the Baker family at the Newburgh Clinic. I look forward to working with your family pet
