Veterinarian Overview
Matt is a Knox County native, born and raised here. He graduated from South Knox High School, Vincennes University, and Purdue. Matt began his vet career in 2007 at a vet clinic in Milford, Indiana. Three years later, he began working at the Jasper, Indiana Pet Clinic, before taking over Southgate Veterinary Clinic in July 2012.Matt, and fellow Southgate vet/owner, Aaron Hecht were room-mates and classmates at Purdue. When an opportunity presented itself for the two local boys to come back home and practice veterinary medicine together, they jumped at the chance.Matt, his wife, and two children live on the family farm. Besides the requisite pets 3 dogs and 2 cats the Noltings also raise grass-fed beef cattle. Matt loves working on the old farm, tending the cattle, and doing carpentry and mechanical work, as needed.For a man who likes to work with his hands, it only makes sense that surgery is a skill he excels at. When hes not tending animals at the clinic, or at home, Matt enjoys camping and fishing: activities that make this Hoosier boy feel connected to nature.
