Veterinarian Overview
Dr Jenny Luke was born in Gastonia, North Carolina and raised in New Orleans. She performed her undergraduate studies at Boston University in Massachusetts and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism. After moving back to New Orleans and working as a zookeeper at the Audubon Zoo and as a veterinary assistant for Dr. Rich at West Esplanade Veterinary Clinic and Bird Hospital she decided to return to her true passion of veterinary medicine. In 2005, Dr. Luke met her future husband and moved to Baton Rouge where she has been living happily ever since. She received her DVM from the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012 and graduated in the top 25 percent of her class. Dr. Luke is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association (LVMA) and Baton Rouge Veterinary Medical Association (BRAVMA). Her areas of interest include small animal medicine and surgery, exotics, dermatology and geriatric medicine. Dr. Luke and her husband, Fletcher, have a daughter named Ellis and a rescued mix breed dog named Betty. She enjoys continuing to explore Baton Rouge with her family, great food, live music and outdoor activities.
