Veterinarian Overview
Growing up in Atlanta, Georgia with a blind dog and a deaf catin addition to his work at an emergency clinic during his undergraduate careerinspired Dr. Kevin Zamer to become a veterinarian. And for those who knew him as the child who took care of all the neighborhood animals, the pieces fit. After graduating from Tulane University with a BA in Economics in 2007, Dr. Zamer worked as an assistant at Magazine Street Animal Clinic (where he also worked prior to graduation). He graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2013 and has been a veterinarian with Magazine Street Animal Clinic since July of 2013. Dr. Zamer's special interests include emergency medicine and surgery. When it comes to his work, Dr. Zamer is grateful for the challenge of seeing something new every day and loves seeing a healthy patient reunited with his or her owner. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association. He has two dogs of his own Bourbon, a black collie mutt, and his newest addition Rye a large black terrier. He enjoys hiking, cooking, frisbee and visiting national parks.
