Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Nancy Nathan is a New Orleans native. After graduating from Isidore Newman School, she received her B.A. from Wellesley College and her DVM from Tufts University in 1986. She and Dr. Brian Ghere opened Prytania Veterinary Hospital in September 1992. She returned to New Orleans after practicing veterinary medicine in Canada for three years. Dr. Nathan is a member of the AVMA, SLVA and the CVMA. She has a special interest in animal behavior as well as feline medicine. Dr. Nathan has two daughters, Caroline and Emily. She also has two cats, Angel and PurrPurr, a three-legged longhaired Chihuahua named Joy, and a shih-tzu named Frankie. She is thrilled to be back in New Orleans where she enjoys walking in Aududon Park and bike riding.
