Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Gold has been a Maryland resident since 1973. He graduated from University of Maryland, College Park with a B.S. in Biology in 1986. He then went on to complete a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Ross University in 1989. Dr. Gold practiced at the Falls Road Animal Hospital for 14 years prior to opening Chadwell Animal Hospital in September 2003. He was responsible for starting the Exotic Animal Practice, raising the quality and level of care for the exotic species. Wildlife rescue, exotic animal medicine and surgery have always been his passions. He is a member of the AVMA, MVMA, HVMA, MASAAV and AZV.Dr. Gold and Dr. Schaupp have been married since 1990 and have a son, Jordan. They also live with 2 dogs, a cat, 2 birds, 4 turtles and 3 horses. Dr. Gold likes to work out and enjoys outdoor activities with the family
