Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Karg has been practicing veterinary medicine and surgery for 16 years, having received his doctoral degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1999, and his bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Scranton in 1994. In 2000, he completed a one-year internship at the Mississippi State University veterinary teaching hospital in small animal internal medicine, emergency medicine and surgery. He has focused his work exclusively on feline veterinary medicine and surgery in the state of Maryland since 2001, and founded Frederick Cat Vet in 2006. He and his wife, Chris Bontrager, have three kids, Ivy,Max & Kaia, and three cats: Fraulein, Matilda & Harry.
