Dr. Buss is the "only" doctor I would trust to perform an ACL surgery on a dog. My favorite pet threw out both back knees, two years apart. And each time my dog recovered famously. As my pet aged he never suffered arthritis.
When my pet was a year into recovery from his first ACL surgery he'd picked up weight so I adopted a boxidor puppy to keep him active when I was unavailable. Unfortunately for us this little boxer developed an ACL injury at three years. Dr. Buss and the Chesterfield ER Center closed shop and didn't know where he'd transferred to. I ended up taking my boxidor to winghaven ER services. I asked that surgeon to do the same type of surgery done for our boxer. She said it was old school and wouldn't do it. I was disappointed, (and even more so ever since), because my dog was in serious jeopardy and needed immediate help.
I agreed to leave my boxador for surgery.
It's nearly six years since that surgery and my pet has never walked right since.
That vet came to me by referral and it's the only reason I held my opinion.
So doctor Michael S Buss, if you read this I hope you reach out and let me know where you've hung your shingle.
Dr. Buss, DVM is an surgeon!
