Veterinarian Overview
Also a native of Romania, Dr. Melissa receive her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Bucharest University School of Veterinary Medicine, came to North America to pursue the American dream and receive her DVM certificate in 2010. Dr. Melissa has always had an interest in alternative medicine which prompted her to further her studies and get her Certificate of Veterinary Acupuncture (CVA) in 2014 from the Chi Institute Florida. She finds acupuncture to be a wonderful adjunct to traditional medicine and she has been extremely pleased with its success in her patients. She loves both the scientific and compassionate aspects of veterinary medicine, and enjoys using the latest scientific and medical techniques to help improve the quality of life for pets and their families. Dr. Melissas professional interests include internal medicine, dentistry and acupuncture. When she is not busy with her duties at the hospital and kids schools and sport activities, she enjoy yoga, pilates and tennis.
