Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Thomas Insalaco is a native of Western New York State who has been working with animals since 1993. He is a 2004 graduate of the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine(War Eagle!). After graduation he completed a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Angell Animal Medical Center- Western New England. Dr. Insalaco went on to spend 5 years practicing canine and feline medicine in Orchard Park, New York with a heavy emphasis on emergency medicine and surgery. In 2010 he moved to Connecticut and in September 2011 Dr. Insalaco joined the SVA team. Dr. Insalaco enjoys all aspects of canine and feline practice, but has particular interest in the areas of emergency medicine, surgery, wound management, orthopedics and feline medicine. In his spare time, Dr. Insalaco enjoys cooking, playing the guitar and ukulele, skiing, cheering for the Buffalo Bills and Sabres, and spending time with his cats: Virgil, Beatrice, Dante, Lucy, and Phil. Dr. Insalaco joined the Plaistow-Kingston Animal Medical team in November 2015
