Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Tom Daugherty is a 1994 graduate of Oregon State University. He was born in Oregon and raised in Montana. After receiving his degree he worked in Oregon and Washington as an Equine Veterinarian. Then spent seven years with Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington Kentucky and seven more years as a solo practitioner. The years working in Kentucky gave Dr. Daugherty the opportunities to travel to Dubai and South American for horse racing related activities. Dr. Daugherty enjoys working on all aspects of the horse, his areas of focus are reproduction, emergency medicine and dentistry. Dr. Daugherty has pursued continuous education and has been recognized and published for his work in equine dentistry. He has been a facilitator for the American Association of Equine Practitioners table topics on Equine Dentistry. He currently is working with the AAEP as an educator traveling to various Veterinary Schools, with in the United States and the Virgin Islands, to teach Equine Dentistry.
