Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Nearenberg fulfilled her childhood dream in 1990, when she graduated from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in Davis, California. She then returned to New York, secured her license and has been practicing veterinary medicine for over 24 years. She worked for several small animal practices, joining East Village Green Animal Hospital in 2006 where she has been employed in a full or part time capacity ever since. " Dr. Debbie"'s passions include complicated medical cases and working with difficult to handle cats and dogs. She enjoys helping owners with "problem pets," deal with behavior or medical issues. Her goal has always been to help cement the human animal bond. Dr. Nearenberg lives in Hicksville with her husband Rich, a general contractor, daughters Miranda and Zarabeth, MacDuff the Rhodesian Ridgeback and Little Tommy, an 18 month old tabby cat, who recently had a blood transfusion. Gabe another little tabby cat will be joining the family soon.
