Veterinarian Overview
Hi! I am Dr. Julie Matthews and I started working full time as a veterinarian at our clinic in July 2009. Growing up I spent many years working at the clinic assisting in the office. I graduated from Tiffin Calvert High School in 1998 and earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from The Ohio State University in 2002. I spent a year working as an Admissions Counselor at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Soon I realized I really wanted to pursue a degree in veterinary medicine. I went back to college and earned my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in June of 2009. I enjoy all aspects of veterinary medicine, but have a particular interest for soft tissue surgery in both small and large animals. I am a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association. I currently have a Golden Retriever named Bella and a Labrador Retriever named Beau.
