Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Tamara Kimmel grew up in the Willamette Valley and did her undergraduate work at Oregon State University. In 2006 she graduated from the Oregon State University/Washington State University veterinary program and was honored with the Outstanding Senior Award and American Association of Feline Practitioners Senior Award. After graduation she completed a small animal medicine/surgery rotating internship at East Bay Veterinary Specialists in Walnut Creek CA. She joined the staff as an emergency clinician for the next four years offering overnight and weekend critical care for the specialists as well as care for walk-in and emergency patients. Her professional interests include: critical care and internal medicine, toxicology, and diagnostic ultrasound.In 2010, Dr. Kimmel and her young family moved back to Oregon because, as she says, The Willamette Valley will always be my home. Her personal interests include: jogging, gardening, hiking/camping, and just spending time outdoors with her daughter and husband.
