Veterinarian Overview
Dr. McCloskey, hospital director, has worked at Beechwold Veterinary Hospital since his high school years as a volunteer. He returned to Beechwold in 1990 as a doctor and is now a member of the Board of Directors and Co-Director of the Canine Semen Bank of Columbus. He lives in Powell with his wife of 20 years, two sons, and three dogs. He is a cycling enthusiast, and has participated in Pelotonia, The Triple Bypass, and The Leadville 100. Dr. McCloskey volunteers for Canine Companions for Independence, serves on the Small Animal Practitioner Advisory Board for The Ohio State University Veterinary Medical Center, and is also on the Patient Advisory Board for theNeuro/Rehabilitation unit at Riverside Methodist Hospital.Interests include: Internal medicine (dogs), canine reproduction, stem cell therapy, laser therapy, Penn Hip certifiedProfessional Mmberships: American Animal Hospital Association and the Central Ohio Kennel Club, Columbus Academy of Veterinary Medicine, ThSocietyforTheriogenology Veterinary school: The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Columbus, Ohio
