Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Hugh Strickland has practiced veterinary medicine in Horry County, S.C. since June of 1979. He established Advance Vet Care, Conway, S.C. in 1992 . Hugh graduated from the University of Georgia in June of 1970 with a major in microbiology. He served in the United States Air Force from 1970 to 1979 as an instructor pilot for Undergraduate Pilot Training first at Laredo AFB, Tx., and later at Moody AFB, Ga. After military service, Dr. S. went back to the University of Georgia where he earned his degree in veterinary medicine. He is married, the father of four adult children, and currently the guardian of "Dottie" the canine ancient one, and "Lt. Dan" the three legged space cat.
