Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Randy Thomas is a 1992 graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University. Following graduation, he worked as a small animal practitioner for 4 years in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In 1999, he completed a 3-year residency in veterinary dermatology at the University of Florida. He is board-certified in veterinary dermatology and is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology. He has been in private referral dermatology practice since 1999. He is also a courtesy, adjunct faculty at the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida.Dr. Thomas professional interests include allergic diseases in the dog and cat, diseases of the ear, and autoimmune skin diseases. He has contributed chapters to two veterinary texts: Cancer in Dogs and Cats (Morrison WB, editor) and Small Animal Dermatology Secrets (Campbell KL, editor). He has lectured nationally at the North American Veterinary Conference and Western Veterinary Conference, as well as numerous regional and local conferences.
