Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Van Hoosier is a fourth generation Texan. He was born in Brownwood, Texas and raised in Abilene and Weatherford. At the age of ten, he knew he would follow in his older brother's footsteps and become a veterinarian. He graduated from Weatherford High School where he enjoyed sports, especially football. He graduated from Texas A&M and Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine. At Texas A&M, he was in the Corp of Cadets. Besides veterinary medicine, he enjoys interacting with family and friends, Aggie football, the outdoors, rodeo, and the numerous dogs, cats, horses, birds, and lizard that he and his wife have adopted. He is a member and past president of the Tarrant County Veterinary Medical Association(TCVMA), a member of American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the American Animal Hospital Association(AAHA), and the Parker County Sheriff's Posse.
