Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Jay Naylor graduated from Texas A&M University with his bachelor degree in Marine Biology in 1979 and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1985. He has practiced small animal medicine and surgery in the Round Rock/North Austin area since graduation and has owned Brushy Creek Veterinary Clinic since 1990.Dr. Naylor is married and lives in Round Rock. He and his wife currently own a Siamese cat Valentine and recently enjoyed the privilege of dog-sitting a long hair Chihuahua April for their son and daughter-in-law who are living in Budapest, Hungary. Outside of veterinary medicine, other interests include cycling, hiking, and traveling. He also enjoys playing drums and percussion and is an active member of the worship team at Fellowship Bible Church.A strong advocate of the need for continuing education in the profession, Dr. Naylor has been a member of the Texas Academy of Veterinary Practitioners since 1990. The Academy requires its members to attend 150 hours of continuing education every 3 years instead of the 17 hours per year the state requires
