Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Mathews received her BachelorÂ’s degree in Animal Science at Texas A&M University in 2011, then went on to graduate in 2014 as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. She has been in the veterinary field since 2005 when she started working with Dr. Hennessey while in high school. She also had the opportunity to work with Dr. Haug before they were both in veterinary school. Dr. MathewsÂ’ special interest include surgery, behavior, and preventative medicine. She has been on many veterinary trips abroad to places such as Belize, Germany, Switzerland, The Netherlands and South Africa. Dr. Mathews is a member of the Texas Veterinary Medical Association and the Americal Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Mathews and her husband, Ryan, currently live in Tomball, and met in high school while working for Dr. Hennessey. They own an Australian Shepherd, Lyric, an Australian Heeler Mix, Fish, and two cats, Simba and Bagheera. In her free time, Dr. Mathews competes in agility and rally with Lyric and enjoys traveling, baking and Aggie football.
