Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Jessica Hudak joined the Main Street Vet team in November of 2016. She was raised in Southlake, Texas and received her Bachelors Degree in Animal Science from The University of Arkansas. She graduated with her DVM degree in 2008 from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. A general practitioner with a passion for dentistry and surgery, Dr. Hudak enjoys the variety of being a veterinarian. She says I found my calling to veterinary medicine a little farther along the way than most. In my early college years, I went through a particularly difficult time and that was when the sweetest 9 week old English Springer Spaniel, Nellie, came into my life. My journey caring for her took me in completely different direction with my career, and I am eternally grateful for that. She was the cornerstone in my recovery and return to health. She and I spent 13.5 wonderful years together; we won multiple NCAA medals, went through a major change at college, added a husband and three 2 legged siblings (my children), bought a house, and ran thousands and thousands of miles together. I strongly believe in the power of the human-animal bond and I am thankful for the opportunity to strengthen it. Dr. Hudaks husband, Chris, is an endocrinologist. They have a son named Alex, who will soon be six years old, and twin daughters named Libby and Charlie, who are two years old. They plan to add a four-legged family member sometime in 2017. Dr. Hudak says that because Alex is highly allergic to cats, she will be getting all her feline loving here at Main Street! Dr Hudak loves to run, spin and be active. (She was chosen the State of Arkansas NCAA Female Athlete of the Year in 2004!) She also enjoys spending time with her parents and family. If she has a rare moment of free time, she likes to read. She says she is obsessed with fancy espresso coffees.
