Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Lisa L. Piña is proud to call herself a native Houstonian., She was raised in the neighborhood of Oak Forest and then moved to Sugar Land, Texas. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Philosophy from the University of Saint Thomas and graduated from the Texas A&M College of Veterinary medicine in 2010. She had the fortunate opportunity of joining Heights Veterinary Clinic a month after graduation and has felt privileged to continue to be a part of this wonderful, continually growing practice since then. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, from preventative care, dentistry, dermatology, internal medicine and surgery. Dont be surprised to see Dr. Pina try to walk off with your new kitten or puppy while you wait in the lobby for your pets visit; all her four-legged children (Mikey, Marlena, Scrappy Coco and Stella Hotsauce) are full grown. In August 2013, she and her husband welcomed their first son, who they lovingly call Chuy. You may occasionally see Chuy in the lobby trying to sneak a quick visit with Dr. Mom or to greet your family pet. Dr. Pina resides in the GO/OF neighborhood; work, home and play are very close to each other so be sure to say hi to her and her family if you see them out and about. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, crafting, and chasing her children.
