Veterinarian Overview
Originally from Austin, Dr. Catherine Lang is excited to start her career as a veterinarian in Houston, home to many friends and family. Dr. Lang earned her veterinary medicine degree from Texas A&M University, graduating magna cum laude as a member of the Phi Zeta honors club. She previously graduated summa cum laude with a bachelors degree in biomedical science from Texas A&M University. While pursuing her studies, Dr. Lang was involved in multiple organizations, including serving as president of Green Vets Society, vice president of Imaging and Dentistry Club, event coordinator for the veterinary class of 2016, and an officer in Delta Delta Delta fraternity.Rounding out her education at Texas A&M, Dr. Lang spent time studying veterinary medicine abroad at the University of Padua in Italy and through an externship at a hospital that specializes in orthopedic surgery in Faxe, Denmark. These experiences gave her a unique and global perspective on her vocation. She has since published two articles about these experiences in the Vet Gazette, a nationally available series of online publications written by and for veterinary students.In her spare time, Catherine loves spending time with her friends, family, and one-year-old feline friend Vincent Vega. During the fall, she loves watching Fightin' Texas Aggie football, preferably at Kyle Field. You might see her trying new workout classes around the Montrose area, spending time outside on a sunny day, or planning her next trip abroad!
