Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Lisa Box graduated from The University of Texas in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005, with a concentration in Small Animal Medicine. Dr. Box, originally from McAllen, has been working in Houston for the past 8 years. Before joining Oak Forest Veterinary Hospital as a part-time associate, she worked at Montrose Vet Clinic and then Wilcrest Animal Hospital in West Houston. She enjoys feline medicine, soft tissue surgery, and wellness medicine.When not at work, Dr. Box spends her time with her husband, Damon, and her three young children, Madeleine, Eli, and Owen. She also shares her space with a handsome tuxedo cat named ñBertî and her beautiful puppy, ñGigi.î In her spare time, Dr. Box enjoys reading, knitting, and training for triathlons and mud runs.
