Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Gus Kirby was born in Abilene, Texas. He graduated from high school in Kermit, Texas in 1972. Upon graduation, he entered the armed services and served three years in the U.S. Army Special Forces. In 1975 he enrolled in Texas Tech University and studied there for three years before transferring to Texas A & M University, where he graduated in 1981 with a Bachelors in Agricultural Science and a Doctors in Veterinary Medicine.He then moved to Lewisville, Texas and began practicing at Old Orchard Animal Clinic. In 1985, he purchased the clinic and has continued to work there since. He is a member of the Dallas County Veterinary Medical Association, the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Medical Association. In his spare time, he enjoys jogging, playing golf, reading, writing, and watching movies and sports. He has two dogs--"Mickey," a Boston Terrier, and "Buggs," a French Bulldog.
