Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Laurie Halkowich graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Animal and Poultry Sciences in 2001, and from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine with a DVM in 2005. She practiced in Maryland before moving back to Southwest Virginia in 2008. In 2010, Dr. Laurie started Red Bone Mobile Veterinary Services. Although she enjoys seeing patients in the comfort of their own homes, she is excited to offer the many services a stand-alone clinic can provide to her patients. While she enjoys many aspects of veterinary medicine, she is especially passionate about working with older pets.
In her free time, Dr. Laurie enjoys baking, gardening, hiking the AT, cheering on the Hokies and Redskins, and spending time with her husband Bob, and dogs Kermit, Grover, and Betty.
