Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Carolyn Evans is co-owner of Quioccasin Veterinary Hospital. Prior to becoming a veterinarian, Dr. Evans earned her Bachelor of Science degree from University of Richmond and her Masters of Science degree in Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University. After the completion of these degrees, Dr. Evans enjoyed the opportunity to teach high school Biology and Chemistry. It was her experience as a teacher as well as her love for animals that enables Dr. Evans to balance quality veterinary medicine with strong client communication. Dr. Evans received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Medicine (Virginia Tech) in 1995. Dr. Evans volunteers her time with several organizations around the Richmond area including serving on the medical advisory board for the Hermitage Technical Veterinary Assistant Program. Dr. Evans has a special interest in senior health care. She enjoys working with this soulful group of patients and educating their owners about their pets aging issues. Other medical areas of interest include feline medicine and dermatology. When not in the office, Dr. Evans enjoys gardening, spending time at the beach and playing with her dogs, Mavis, Flip Flop and Peju!
