Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Melanie Lowrance is the proud owner of Small Animal Housecalls. She has been treating dogs and cats in the East Valley of Phoenix since 2006. She started her house call practice to help serve the public and animals even more by offering in home services to make veterinary medicine more convenient.Dr. Lowrance stays active in the community. She is a volunteer and serves on the Board of Directors of the Companion Animal Association of Arizona in which she provides pet therapy to assisted living facilities with her dog Daisy. She is a member of the Arizona Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Humane Society of the United States. Dr. Lowrance routinely supports The Phoenix Zoo, The Tiffany Foundation to support women with breast cancer, The American Girl Scouts and The University of Arizona School of Agriculture.Dr. Lowrance grew up in Tucson, AZ and earned her bachelors degree in wildlife management from the University of Arizona in 2000. She graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. Her clinical year of veterinary medicine was completed at Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine. She also completed an externship in veterinary dentistry at the University of Illinois. When she is not making house calls she enjoys singing soprano in her church choir and enjoying her life in Gilbert with her husband Jason, son Matthew and her Border Collie Daisy, Labrador Shady and her parakeet Cupcake.
