Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Jennifer Rau obtained her veterinary degree from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University in 1999. While in school she was the President of the Student Chapter of the American Association of Feline Practitioners.Promptly after graduation Dr. Rau moved to the Bay Area and entered into small animal practice with a particular interest in cats. Since graduation Dr. Rau has worked at two feline only practices and greatly enjoys the variety of cat personalities and lifestyles.She is looking forward to joining Benicia Cat Clinic as a practitioner and owner.Dr. Rau has a particular fondness for geriatric cats, cats with special behavior needs, dentistry, preventative care, client education and the human-cat bond. She also loves when clients ask lots of questions.Dr. Rau is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners, American Veterinary Medical Association, San Francisco Veterinary Medical Association, California Veterinary Medical Association, Solano County Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Animal Hospital Association.Dr. Rau shares her home with Dona Lola, Rocky, Ron a Chewbacca (a cat like dog). In her free time she enjoys reading, yoga and gardening.
