Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Ford Suehiro joined the Beverly Hills Small Animal Hospital in 1974, when his father (who owned a nearby drycleaning business), asked patron, Dr Richard Keagy, if his teenage son could have a job at the veterinary hospital. He worked as a kennel attendant and veterinary assistant until 1980. He then attended Washington State University, earning a Bachelors degree in microbiology and public health in 1983, and a Masters degree in veterinary immunology in 1985. After graduating from Washington State University with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1989, he returned to the Beverly Hills Small Animal Hospital the same year. Currently serving as chief surgeon, his primary areas ofinterest include: soft tissue surgery, dog and cat dentistry, critical care, and internal medicine. An avid fisherman and scuba diver, Dr. Suehiro has traveled to several different countries pursuing his love of deep sea diving. When hes not traveling the world, he can be found at home with his wife, Sandy and their menagerie of dogs and cats.
