Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Laurie Droke is originally from Ft. Worth, Tx and graduated from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. Immediately after graduation, Dr. Droke moved to the San Francisco Bay Area. She practiced as a small animal associate veterinarian in Palo Alto until 2008. That year she accepted an international veterinary position at a small humane society on the island of Ambergris Caye, Belize. This position led her to open her own small animal hospital on the island called San Pedro Animal Hospital in December of 2009. In addition, she co-founded the San Pedro Animal Foundation, a nonprofit whose mission is to provide spay/neuter services and medical care for pets from needy families in Belize. Dr. Droke returned to the Bay Area in 2013. She still visits Belize several times a year to manage her animal hospital and animal foundation there. She lives in Santa Clara with her golden retriever Jambo and her deaf and blind kitty Thelma. Her favorite hobbies are hiking with Jambo, yoga, tennis and scuba diving
