Veterinarian Overview
Dr Anderson is excited to be the newest member of the Animal Care doctor team. Her professional interests include preventive medicine and surgery, dentistry, senior care, and alternative medicine. Dr Anderson is trained in veterinary acupuncture through the CHI Institute in Florida, and she has successfully used acupuncture to treat pain and illness in cats, dogs, and rabbits! Dr Anderson received her BSc at the University of Victoria in Canada, and obtained her DVM at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Canada. She has been practicing in the beautiful bay area for the past 6 years, working in private practices as well as several shelters and humane societies. She volunteers for Fix Our Ferals and North Star Rodent Rescue and the Animal Rescue Foundation. She combines her passions for animals and travel through volunteering with World Vets (www.worldvets.org), providing high-volume spay/neuter and medical care in developing countries. When Dr Anderson isn't working you may find her running trails with her two rescue pups, practicing yoga, or sampling our many local food and wine festivals.
