Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Christian Amezcua was born here in Southern California, but raised in Mexico. He received his veterinary degree at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, School of Veterinary Medicine. He then completed an externship at the Veracruz Sea Aquarium where he worked with reptiles, birds, manatees, and other sea animals; and a double externship in Clovis, CA at an equine surgery center, and at a mixed practice veterinary hospital. Dr. Amezcua became a California accredited veterinarian in 2010 and currently enjoys practicing small animal medicine and surgery. He has a special interest in diagnostic medicine, soft tissue surgery, and current therapeutics. Dr. Amezcua joined the medical team at Crescenta Cañada in August 2013. His main objective is to practice compassionated medicine and create great client-veterinarian-patient rapport. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, reading, going to concerts, and spending time outdoors.
