Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Marvin Helphrey received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State University in 1974. Post graduate education included a two-year surgical internship. The next two years were spent at the University of California-Davis in an Anesthesia/Intensive Care residency. Dr. Helphrey's special interests encompass the fields of anesthesia and dentistry. Dr. Helphrey is certified in TPLO (tibial plateau leveling osteotomy, a surgery performed on dogs to stabilize the stifle joint after ruptures of the cranial cruciate ligament.). His advanced training, along with extensive technical monitoring, provide the patient with optimal veterinary care.
