Veterinarian Overview
Originally from northern California, Heather moved to Santa Barbara to attend UCSB where she was able to stretch college out into six beautiful years on the coast and in doing so ended up with a triple major in Biology, Art Studio, and Art History. Well-rounded and veterinary school bound, Heather applied to Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona and graduated in 2007 with Dr. Michelle Fuller. After graduating vet school, Heather worked at a small animal emergency practice in Santa Clarita for the first 2 years out of school. Eventually the night shifts got the better of her when she landed a day job at Studio City Animal Hospital. When Michelle opened the Village Vet, Heather was lucky to land a part time position which eventually turned into a full time associate position. Heather as well is the doctor that accepts pocket-pet appointments at The Village Vet! Truly an animal lover, Heather owns a shelter-shepherd-mutt Remi, who goes with her just about everywhere. However, being a veterinarian has its professional hazards and for her as it has been rescuing a few cats and small animals that are out of a home or luck usually both. Luckily, Heather also has found a wonderfully understanding husband who very much enjoys being around animals 24-7 and her most of the time as well.
