Veterinarian Overview
Hi, My name is Neal Forman. I grew up in West Los Angeles and have lived in California ever since. I have always loved animals and started working at a small animal hospital in West Los Angeles while finishing my undergraduate studies obtaining a BA in Biology at UC Santa Cruz. It was while working in West LA that I met my future wife, Genny.
I attended Ross University for my veterinary training and graduated in 2000. Ross University is located in the West Indies and it was an excellent experience. After Genny moved down to San Diego to pursue her career, I started working for a 24-hour emergency clinic. I worked at this practice for 5 years focusing on general medicine, surgery and emergency care. I eventually was the head veterinarian, managing a team of 8 veterinarians and 40 staff members. I decided to join Alicia Pet Care Center because I was impressed by the philosophy and the state of the art facility. I am looking forward to working with Dr Wheaton and his staff to provide you and your pets the utmost care and attention that they deserve.
When I am not working, I love to spend time with my wife and my 2 daughters, Jordan and Taylor. They keep me very busy. Our family also consists of Gus, a 5 year old black lab mix and 2 cats - Stoli and Blue. Some of my hobbies are hiking, swimming and reading science fiction or suspense novels.
