Our regular Vet, Dr. Coward, whom we trust and adore was not available when our little Bengal, Monroe, got very ill, was not eating and lethargic so we saw Dr. Hensley instead. It was on a Wednesday. He did bloodwork, an ultrasound and Urine. He said her bloodwork was normal and so was her Ultrasound and that he'd call us the next day with the Urine results. Now Thursday, when he did not call, I called and spoke to one of the girls at the front desk. After putting me on hold for some time, she came back and said he'd instructed her to go over the results with me. She said there seems to be a possibility Monroe had Diabetes, but said she could not email the results until he talked to me. I quickly started doing research on diabetes. The next day, Friday, after still nothing from Dr. Hensley, I called again just to be told he was off and would not be returning until Monday. Then this girl said Monroe did not have diabetes but looked like she might have a liver issue. Seriously?! She said she would email the results. We then took Monroe to an Emergency Specialty Hospital on Saturday. The Vet there looked at her bloodwork results and said she had neither diabetes nor a liver problem! She also did an ultrasound and diagnosed her with pancreatitis. They kept Monroe overnight and treated her for pancreatis. Today is Tuesday and still no call from Dr. Hensley! He had completely abandoned us!!! Having now been treated for pancreatitis, she is recovering. Dr Hensley is irresponsible, insensitive, incompetent and shouldn't be in practice in my opinion! I would NEVER go back to him nor would I recommend him!
