Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Wolfson purchased River City Cat Clinic from Dr. Powell in 2001. In July 2015, he sold the practice to Dr. Salaguinto and became semi-retired. He is still with us a couple days a week. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Dr. Wolfson earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from UCLA before moving to Northern California to study veterinary medicine. Dr. Wolfson received his DVM degree in 1982 from UC Davis. He operated a small animal practice in Rio Linda for many years before coming to RCCC. Dr. Wolfson enjoys all aspects of practice but has a special fondness for surgery, dentistry and ultrasonography. Dr. Wolfson enjoys fly fishing for trout, salmon and even bass. He and his spouse, Brenda, have a daughter, two sons, and several grandchildren. As empty nesters, they enjoy their spare time taking frequent bicycle rides along the American River and hikes in the coastal hills.
