Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Resop (AKA Dr. Bill) has been Staff Veterinarian at NPVEC for more than 30 years. He graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1976, then completed a combined Internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at UC Davis. After working in a mixed practice in Washington State, where treating everything from wolves to sheep was just another day, Dr. Resop joined NPVEC and has focused his career on emergency veterinary medicine ever since. Dr. Resop and his wife, Maredith, have three grown daughters, one a respiratory therapist, another a physician in emergency work and the third a veterinarian completing her Internship in Small Animal Emergency and Internal Medicine. When not at NPVEC, Dr. Bill and his wife raise Angus cattle on the family farm, assisted by two border collies and three cats of assorted colors and vintage.
