Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Conant grew up in Santa Cruz, California and graduated from UC Santa Barbara in 1999 with Bachelors Degrees in Environmental Science and Latin American Studies. She worked as a veterinary assistant in several small animal practices and volunteered with the local Wildlife Care Network. She spent a year living in Costa Rica, traveled throughout New Zealand and became certified to scuba dive before attending Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in Indiana. Following graduation, Dr. Conant completed a 12 month internship at the Veterinary Medical and Surgical Group (VMSG) in Ventura where she received advanced training in canine and feline Internal Medicine, Surgery, Emergency and Critical Care. Dr. Conant, her husband, Bryan, their daughter Gianna Bean and son Matteo Fisher, live with their 2 dogs, Bailey & Bentley and cat Diesel. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, hiking/backpacking, kayaking, reading and cooking. She is excited to be back in Santa Barbara where she enjoys many of the beaches and wilderness areas.
